Crazy Excavator Rolls Out, With Innocent Driver

Leave it to the humans to come up with the crazy Excavator. It has the same body parts with the usual excavators that we seen out there but what makes this machine so special is that it can transform, maybe. I am kind of curious to know how much money does this machine cost.

First Name for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

So finally, at long last, the official title of the upcoming sequel has been announced. It'll be called "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen." Humans Returning to Destroy the Decepticons

Transformers 2 seems to be bringing a lot of new transforming robots but how about the returning of the human characters we have seen previously in Transformers. Seriously, we love the ally of the Autobots, Captain William Lennox, who destroy a Decepticon in the movie. And the good news is that Josh Duhamel will be returning as Captain William Lennox in the sequel. We also learned that Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, John Turturro will be reprising their roles in Transformers 2. Besides, Rainn Wilson will be joining the humans too. Sure, I can't wait to see Duhamel shooting the Decepticons. [Wikipedia]

Soundwave Making its Way into the Human World

According to screenwriter Roberto Orci's recent interview, it looks like we will be seeing Soundwave on the big screens. Orci loves to get Soundwave into the upcoming sequel and all of us can't wait for it anymore. Besides, he also talks about the status of Transformers 2 and what we know is that it will start shooting in 3 weeks. If Soundwave is confirmed to appear in Transformers 2, I'm sure it will make any true nerd break out in a sweat. Read more for the highlights of the interview. [IGN]

Q: What's the status of Transformers 2?

ORCI: That starts shooting in three weeks

Q: What do you want to do that builds from the first one?

ORCI: We want to follow some of our lead characters which we thought were so successful. Shia's character; where is he two years later? His girlfriend, where is she two years later? But for fans, I guess I'll address this more for the fans, because I think if you didn't know Transformers at all and you came in and you liked the first movie, you'll like the second one. However, some of the die hard fans, which we were a member of that group, felt, well, maybe it's a little light. Maybe it wasn't science fictiony enough. And I think the second one will deliver on a true Transformers story. You know, the first one, we had a limited budget for what it was. Every second of Transformer time is a million dollars or whatever the heck it is, so this time, because we were able to prove through the whole thing that it's a viable live-action movie, we have a little more freedom this time to actually learn about the Transformers, see them, hear them. It's a better balance between the humans and the Transformers

Q: Is there one particular Transformer, good or bad, that you absolutely had to get into the sequel?

ORCI: Yes.

Q: You're not gonna tell us.

ORCI: I'll tell you. We had to get Soundwave in there

Q: Nice. Where Soundwave goes, will Ravage follow?

ORCI: Perhaps! Who's Ravage? ... I'm kidding! You know, we had Ravage in an early draft of the first movie and Soundwave, and we couldn't do it right and I think this time hopefully we'll have the ability to do it

Optimus Prime USB Hub Rocks the Nerds

We have just seen the All Spark USB hub before, but here's another one which is in the form of Optimus Prime's head. It's 9" tall and what makes this thing looks impressive is that it really talks. It spouts off classic phrases like "Autobots, transform and roll out!" when you connect something to the hub. And you can also switch off the sound if you think that it's annoying. It's priced for $35, but you may have to wait a while longer to pick up your own version or head here for pre-order. [Everything USB]
